Driver dies as tractor turns turtle in Gurez

Bandipora, May, 01 (KNO): A tractor driver was killed in a road accident at Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday evening.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a tractor skidded off the road and turned turtle at Izmerg area of Gurez in Bandipora.

He said the driver was trapped under the tractor following which locals rescued him and shifted him to nearby health centre where doctors declared him brought death. He identified the deceased as Mohammad Rafeeq Samon, son of Gulam Ahmad Samon (38) of Izmerg Gurez.

After completing all legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for the last rites.

Meanwhile, Police registered a case in this regard and have taken up the investigation, officials said–(KNO)
