Moon not sighted in J&K, first day of Ramadhan on Saturday: Grand Mufti Nasirul Islam
Srinagar, April 23 : Kashmir’s Grand Mufti Nasir-ul Islam said that moon has not been sighted anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir and that the first day of fasting month will be on April 25 (Saturday).
“There is no evidence of sighting of Ramadhan moon anywhere in Kashmir or Jammu region. So, first day of holy month will be on April 25,” Islam told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He urged people to maintain social distancing and to pray all mandatory and Taraweeh prayers at home to prevent spread of Covid-19 Pandemic
