Baramulla, Apr 23 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested five from Chandusa village in north Kashmir's Baramulla district involved in killing of a leopard mercilessly on Sunday.
Station House Officer (SHO) Chandusa, Ghulam Jeelani told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that five accused have been arrested so far and more arrests are expected in next few days.
He said after the killing of leopard by locals mercilessly an open first information report (FIR) was registered and the investigation was set in motion to probe the whole incident.
During the course of investigation, some photos which went Viral on social media were also kept under consideration on the same bases some arrests were made and so far five have been arrested, he said. He said the arrested have been put under police remand of 10 days and more arrests are expected in days to come the investigation is still going on.
Pertinently, the incident suffered on Sunday when a leopard had entered into the village chased by people and attacked with bricks, bamboo sticks and iron-rods and killed later—(KNO)
