Rajouri, Apr 23 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday seized a video graphic quad copter (drone) after it was found flying over the town in Rajouri district of Jammu region.
Police told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a night patrolling team of Jammu and Kashmir police deployed in Gujjar Mandi-DC office road noticed repeated blinks of light in air after which an alert was sounded and more teams of police rushed to the area and it came to fore that a drone was flying, which however disappeared in short span of time.
Police further said that sensing the gravity of the situation as quad copter with camera was flying near some security establishments, investigation was set into motion with strong efforts were made to identify the operators of the devise and also to find the location from where it was being operated.
Police added that a team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Rajouri, Sameer Jillani succeeded in identifying two boys who were flying the device and seized the quad-copter along with all other allied material.
Two boys operating the quad copter stand identified and are being questioned.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Chandan Kohli said that drone has been seized and questioning from duo is going on. He appealed that such a use of Quadcopter or any other videographic or photography device is prohibited especially near vital/security establishments.
“People should refrain from such acts else as it will entail action as per law,” SSP added –(KNO)
