Bandipora, Apr 27 (KNO): A 65-year-old man from Watapora area in north Kashmir's Bandipora district has secured first position after he successfully managed to develop a full body sensor dispenser, an anti- infectant device amid this pandemic approved by Harvard medical school in Bostan US.
Mohammad Ismail Mir, a resident of Watapora with 12th pass academic qualification, has made number of electronic devices over the years that earned him appreciation and awards.
In his recent edition Ismail has managed to prepare a device that will help fight the Corona-virus pandemic disease by mitigating the affect.
Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Ismail said that he was informed about an open challenge of preparing a model that will help fight the pandemic after which he prepared a full body dispenser that can be installed at any large gathering complex to migrate the transport of deadly virus.
He said that since 1977 he has prepared different devices including a local radio station.
"Recently, I was intimated about an open COVID-19 challange in which the participants were asked to prepare some quick innovative solutions to address the impact of Corona-virus."
"I took the challange and started to prepare a device of my own without any help and successfully prepared a Full Body Dispenser, a disinfectant device that can be installed at places witnessing huge daily rush," he said.
He said the device was collected by the team (that issued the challenge) and got selected following which it was sent for approval to Harvard Science school who gave it final nod and declared it effective for use.
Ismail said he received an appreciation certificate from Harvard Medical School and a cash prize of Rs, 5, 000 for the model.
About the model Ismail said that it can be used at any office, bank or place with huge rush of people and it will automatically disinfect anyone entering the premises and will make sure the person won't carry any infection.
Talking about past work Ismail said that he has prepared, small power radio station, remote control car, small power generator and several electronic educational projects.
Besides the disinfectant spray and past work Ismial is currently working on an automatic ventilator that will help a critically ill patient to a greater extend and he won't require any attendant to keep pumping the equipments to help him go with the treatment—(KNO)
